About Jennifer

Jennifer Steele Christensen has more than 20 years of experience in print and broadcast journalism and has won multiple awards from the Utah Press Association and the Society of Professional Journalists. She has written for many traditional and digital newspapers including the Deseret News and CacheValleyDaily.com and has collaborated on several projects with Utah Public Radio, including the award-winning “Objectified: More Than A Body” documentary series. Her diverse background also includes serving on the staff of a Congressional campaign, reporting for KVNU News Radio and producing a quarterly radio series called “Utah Cares” in partnership with UPR, KCPW and Utah Nonprofits Association. She has also worked extensively in the book publication and promotion industry and is a skilled development editor and scriptwriter.

Jennifer has a master’s degree in social work from Utah State University and served on the Utah Board of the National Association of Social Workers. She has worked in various capacities in both general and clinical practice and is committed to solution-focused interventions that facilitate growth and empowerment in the lives of the clients she serves.

Jennifer values community involvement and volunteer work and is the mother of five children. She enjoys singing, playing the piano, being outdoors and cooking.
